Should Christian's Observe April Fool's Day?

April Fool’s Day (Wikipedia)

April Fools' Day (sometimes called All Fools' Day) is celebrated every year on 1 April by playing practical jokes and spreading hoaxes.

The jokes and their victims are called April fools.

People playing April Fool jokes expose their prank by shouting April Fool.

Some newspapers, magazines, and other published media report fake stories, which are usually explained the next day or below the news section in small letters.

Although popular since the 19th century, the day is not a public holiday in any country.

April Fools’ Day is rooted in the ancient pagan customs of this world. It is literally a day for fools!

What Does the Bible have to say about April Fool’s Day?

The Bible does not contain any direct commandment against observing the traditions of April’s Fools Day. However “God” does not approve of tricks, even harmless ones.

There are a lot of Scriptures on this topic. Here are a few quotes from the Bible State:

“God” commanded his people not to follow the ways of the heathen.
“God” is the Author of wisdom, not foolishness. He expects His servants to seek His wisdom (James. 1:5), not play the fool.

"It is as sport to a fool to do mischief: but a man of understanding hath wisdom" (Proverbs 10:23 KJV)

"Answer not a fool according to his folly, lest thou also be like unto him." (Proverbs 26:4 KJV)
